A solid academic record (equal to a British A-level or better), evidence of English language ability, and maybe a statement of purpose or UCAS application for undergraduate programs are requirements for international students applying to the University of Reading. A bachelor's degree, a solid GPA, a statement of intent, and recommendations are prerequisites for postgraduate programs.  IELTS: 6.5 overall (with a minimum score of 6.0 in each section), TOEFL: 88 overall (with minimum marks in each section), or an equivalent score is required. 
Options: Other approved assessments of English language proficiency are also accepted. 

Transcripts: Certified translations, if not in English, and official transcripts of all degree programs completed (in PDF format).

Purpose Statement: A personal statement that highlights your academic achievements, program interest, relevant professional experience, and acquired abilities. 
Passport: If you're an international student, a copy of your passport.
