Whiteknights- Whiteknights Campus at University of Reading is spread across 321-acres of land. The campus includes Whiteknights Lake, conservation meadows and woodlands as well as most of the university's departments. The university’s most of the campus falls within Wokingham District. The campus has taken its name from the nickname of the 13th century knight John De Erleigh IV or the 'White Knight'. The university’s main campus library is located in the middle of the campus. In the 1970s the URS building was designed by Howell, Killick, Partridge & Amis in concrete brutalist style. The Whiteknights campus at University of Reading was voted one of the best green spaces in the United Kingdom constantly for the seventh year. London Road- The smaller London Road Campus at University of Reading is the original university site and is near to the town centre of Reading. The campus is located across the Royal Berkshire Hospital. The London Road campus is home to The Institute of Education which is a major provider of teacher training in the United Kingdom. The London Road campus is also a host to the University graduation ceremonies twice a year, in the Great Hall.
