1. Academic Credentials:
Secondary Education: Completion of a secondary education program equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma.
Transcripts: Submission of official transcripts from all secondary schools attended, accompanied by certified English translations if the originals are not in English. These transcripts should detail courses taken and grades received.
2. English Language Proficiency:
Requirement: All applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency.
Accepted Tests and Minimum Scores:
TOEFL: Internet-based score of 79 or higher.
IELTS: Overall band score of 6.5 or higher.
Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 100.
Waivers: May be considered for students who have completed secondary education in English-speaking countries or institutions; evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
3. Standardized Test Scores:
SAT or ACT: UTA is currently test-optional; SAT or ACT scores are not required for admission decisions. However, submitting test scores can assist in determining admissions decisions, testing exemptions, and scholarship opportunities.
4. Application Process:
Application Form: Complete and submit the undergraduate application through the ApplyTexas platform or the Common Application.
Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of $75 is required.
