University of the Sunshine Coast was established in 1994 and is located Queensland, Australia. Its establishment was approved by the Australian Federal Government to serve and educate the population of sunshine coast.

University of the Sunshine Coast main campus is at Sippy Downs. However, the University holds teaching facilities in Noosa and also comprises of educational and research facilities on Fraser Island.
