1. General Requirements for All Master’s Programs
Bachelor’s Degree: In a relevant field (e.g., veterinary medicine, biomedicine, biology, or related sciences).
Must be equivalent to an Austrian bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS minimum).
Non-EU degrees may require nostrification (official recognition).
Language Proficiency:
English-taught programs (e.g., Biomedicine, Public Health): IELTS 6.5+ / TOEFL 90+ / C1 Advanced.
German-taught programs (e.g., Veterinary Medicine continuation): Goethe C1 / ÖSD C1.
2. Program-Specific Requirements
A. MSc in Biomedicine and Biotechnology (English)
Prerequisite Courses: Molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or lab experience.
Motivation Letter + CV: Required.
Interview: Possible (for shortlisted candidates).
B. MSc in Comparative Medicine (English/German)
Research Background: Prior lab/thesis work preferred.
Supervisor Contact: Recommended before applying.
C. MSc in Public Health (English)
Work Experience: Preferred (but not mandatory) in health/animal science.
3. Application Process
Deadlines:
Winter Semester (Oct start): ~April–June.
Summer Semester (Mar start): ~November–January (fewer programs available).

Bachelor’s diploma + transcripts (translated if not in English/German).
Proof of language proficiency.
