The library also has its online availability with over 72,000 books online with 350,000 images. The online text is open to everyone. Alderman library has the most extensive Tibetan collection in the world. The Rare Book School of University of Virginia, a non-profit organization, has the history books and the history of printing that began at Columbia University in 1983
