The University of West Georgia is a privately run university that is situated in Carrollton, Georgia. The university back in the years started as a school and John H Nelson was the principal of the school. The school was named Fourth District Agricultural and Mechanical School and later in 1933 it changed its name to West Georgia College. The college expanded over the years and has a satellite campus, another campus at Douglasville Center, and also conducts classes at the Atlanta History Center.
