University of Winchester is a British higher education institution located in Winchester, England. The university was established as Winchester Diocesan Training School in 1840 and was renamed to Winchester Training College in 1847. The college was again renamed to King Alfred’s College in 1928 and adopted its present name in 2005. The university currently enrols over 7770 students.
