A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution (e.g., at least 180 ECTS credits or equivalent) is required to enter a master’s programme. 

Applicants must demonstrate that they have acquired relevant subject-specific knowledge/skills in the discipline of the master’s programme (often evidenced by required ECTS or coursework). 

Language proficiency:

German-taught programmes: German language proficiency (often DSH 2 or equivalent) is required. 

English-taught programmes: English proficiency (e.g., B2 or above, or proof that prior degree was in English) is required. 

For some master’s programmes, practical work experience (e.g., one year of relevant work) may be required. 

Competitive programmes: Some restricted-admission programmes may have higher grade/threshold requirements (e.g., minimum GPA, aptitude tests, or GMAT) for selection.
