Applicants must have a secondary school diploma equivalent to Dutch higher secondary education (HAVO/VWO level). Accepted qualifications include international diplomas such as the International Baccalaureate, European Baccalaureate, or a recognized national high school diploma. For example, a US high school diploma with at least a 3.0 GPA or equivalent international qualification is acceptable. Some programmes may have additional subject-specific requirements depending on the field of study.
If applying to an English-taught bachelor’s programme, international students must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following minimum scores:
IELTS Academic: minimum 6.0
TOEFL iBT: minimum 80
Pearson PTE Academic: minimum 61
Cambridge English (CAE or FCE): minimum score 169
LanguageCert Academic: minimum score 65
These language certificates must generally be less than two years old unless otherwise specified.
Students must submit the following documents during the application process:
Certified copies of secondary school diploma and academic transcripts
Proof of English language proficiency (if required)
Valid passport copy
Official English translations of documents if the originals are in another language
These documents are submitted after registering through the Dutch university application system, Studielink.
Non-EU international students must obtain a Dutch student visa and residence permit after admission. The university assists students with the visa process once tuition fees are paid and admission is confirmed.
