What to do if your round 1 MBA application has been rejected?

Posted on: November 01, 2022

The kind of anxiousness and disappointment one feels on the rejection of their application is understandable. But it is also very important to acknowledge that you must not take failure so hard and bounce back fastly. Now that you know that your application has been rejected you must think of other alternative prospects regarding the same. MBA and business schools generally undergo a two-step selection process while selecting candidates. The students who are ejected in the first round itself are not eligible to apply for the second round in the same college. Though they can apply in some other business schools and universities. If your application gets rejected in the first-round only here is what you need to do-

  • Ask yourself if the field of MBA that you are pursuing is right for you or not. Selectors are able to assess quickly if you would be the right person for the seed that you have applied for or not. Sometimes you are more of a marketing person but you choose to go into the field of finance. Don't make this mistake and analyse what is the best thing for you.
  • If you're not able to analyse the cause of your failure then seek some professional advice. Generally you can easily tell why you have been rejected by comparing your application with the already listed down requirements of the university. But if you think everything is proper and on point and still your application is rejected then you can go for a counsellor who can tell you where your problem is.
  • Make sure that each business school that you are applying for has a different essay of its own. Create an essay keeping the business school that you are applying for in your mind. Don't just use one mutual essay for all the business schools.
  • Now that you have been rejected by one business school, think of the other business schools that you can apply in and do it as fast as you can so that you don't miss out on the opportunity.

The APS certificate is now a compulsion for applying for a German student Visa. This certificate is not required for courses which have a duration of less than 90 days.
