Till now more than 8 million candidates have already applied for debt cancellation. Biden previously announced to relieve a student debt of up to $20,000. India contributes the second largest amount of international students to OECD countries

In a recent survey it has been found that India contributes 10% of total international students studying in OECD countries. OECD stands for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. Most Indian students prefer to enroll themselves in courses related to engineering. STEM is the most preferred subject area for Indian students. Drop in the admission rates of Delhi University

The number of students who enrolled for undergraduate courses this year at Delhi University is 2,17,000. But the number of students who have completed their registration process is merely 175000. This number is nearly 99,000 lower than that of last year. Last year the number of students who had completed their registration process for admission to DU was 2,74,144. In 2020 the number was 3,53,717 whereas in 2019 it was 2,58,388. It has been reported that the low number of registration Diya can be attributed to the new pattern that has been introduced by DU for admission. This year admissions were done on the basis of CUET which was an entrance exam rather than the conventional cut-off criteria. This whole process took a very long period of time, and the admission process was delayed. By then most of the private universities had begun their admissions and classes.
