Answers that will help you in cracking almost every scholarship interview

Posted on: July 29, 2022

Generally most of the scholarships have an interview round before they offer a student scholarship. This is to assess if the student is actually deserving of the help or not. Here are some commonly asked questions in scholarship interviews and what to answer.

  • Your self description

Now most of the time you will be asked to tell you about yourself. Now as easy as it is for us to talk about others, describing oneself can be quite difficult. Be careful about what you say and try to say things you assume that they will find worth listening or will be interested in.

  • Leadership skills

Very often the topic of leadership skills also surely comes up between these interviews because leadership is a very desirable quality. Make sure you have some taste of it and have a solid perspective regarding the same.

  • Your future goals

It is always very attractive to see someone having a mind map of the things that you want to do in your life. It makes you look like a sorted and confident person.

  • Backup Plan

A smart and futuristic person always has a Plan B in case things don't go as planned. Make sure you have a

Plan B so that the interviewer knows that you are the right person to get the scholarship.

A guide to homeschooling for parents

Posted on: July 27, 2022

Earlier homeschooling was an option used by students who couldn't attend regular schools due to medical emergencies or other students who were child artists. But these days many parents prefer to educate their children at home as it gives them personal attention, saves time, and also prevents them from any sort of bullying or toxic experience that a child may be vulnerable to in school. Initially, you can start homeschooling your kid yourself even if you don't have any formal education. Just make sure that the child gets a fixed amount of hours for practice on a daily basis. As the child grows up a tutor must be hired. Now every family has a different educational philosophy and that is what impacts the learning of a child the most. Some parents believe in an immediate solution to their child's questions whereas some simply leave it to them to find out the answers. It is very important for parents to plan a curriculum for their kids which decides the amount of syllabus they must cover in that particular amount of time. The good thing is you can cover more than what schools would normally cover and the bad thing is if you get lethargic, you will be left too much behind.

Guide to international students for living in South Korea

Posted on: July 26, 2022

2021 saw 152000 students going to South Korea for educational purposes. Seoul ranked first in the QS Best Student Cities in Asia 2023 list and second in the world, tied with Munich. But one must keep in mind that Seoul is a rather expensive city when it comes to education and especially accommodation. Getting a hostel dorm is a better option but the problem is the lack of seats. Not everyone gets a place in a hostel. A study in Korea notes dormitory fees can cost approximately about 420 US dollars to US$1,550 per semester while rent outside of campus could cost approximately US$300 per month. If you are renting an apartment, you have to give a security deposit as well. There are different types of accommodation options in South Korea like normal apartments where you get a kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bathroom of your own. Then there are officials that have an office and apartment combined. You can also get a villa or a house. The security deposit is generally 10 or 12 times the rent.
