The University of East Anglia which is one of the top universities in the UK will be offering six new scholarships only to Indian students pursuing postgraduate courses. All those who clear the entry criteria will be given this scholarship. Under the International Development, scholarships worth 8000 EUR for the purpose of fee reduction will be given to students. Only three seats are available for this scholarship.

Around 700 students from India have been scammed by three Canadian colleges all of which are run by Phoenix International Inc as they declared themselves bankrupt. The colleges are called M College in Montreal, CED College in Sherbrooke, and CCSQ College in Longueuil. After two years of online classes, they have now shut down due to the unavailability of funds. The Indian High Commission has issued a notice regarding the same and asked students to remain aware and make proper research before getting themselves into a college overseas. The Canadian government has offered help by giving the students an opportunity to study in a different college in Canada as further investigations continue.
One of the biggest reasons why students choose Canada over America is the difference between the visa permits of both countries. While the USA has very strict criteria, Canada is flexible with its study permits. If we look at the past figures we see a huge difference between the work permits offered by both the countries. In 2017 Canada offered 317328 work permits to students whereas the USA remained restricted to just 271738 students.
