AIIMS Rishikesh has a large, integrated campus in Virbhadra, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, spread across approximately 200 acres. The campus brings together medical education, research, tertiary healthcare and residential facilities in one location. It includes the main hospital complex, academic blocks, lecture theatres, laboratories, simulation and skills-training facilities, a central library, auditorium, administrative buildings and student and staff residences.

AIIMS Rishikesh has several measures to support student safety across its academic and residential campus. The student hostels have CCTV surveillance for round-the-clock monitoring and 24×7 security personnel, along with dedicated parking and controlled visitor access. The institute also maintains a Security Section for campus protection and monitoring.

AIIMS Rishikesh offers a vibrant student life that combines demanding medical education with sports, cultural activities, student clubs and social events. Students can participate in tennis, badminton, basketball, volleyball, cricket and football, along with indoor games and gym facilities.

AIIMS Rishikesh provides furnished hostel accommodation for students, residents and other eligible members of the institute, subject to availability. The hostels are designed to meet students’ day-to-day needs and provide well-ventilated furnished rooms with beds, tables, chairs, cupboards and bookshelves.

AIIMS Rishikesh provides strong employment opportunities through its hospital, academic departments and research programmes, although recruitment is primarily conducted through official institutional vacancies and national recruitment examinations rather than conventional campus-placement drives. In 2026, recruitment included faculty positions, Senior Residents, nursing and other Group A/B posts, along with positions under the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE).

AIIMS Rishikesh provides financial support mainly through fellowships and stipends associated with research and postgraduate programmes, rather than a broad merit-scholarship scheme for all students. For PhD scholars, the institute offers a limited number of AIIMS Rishikesh institutional fellowships/stipends.

AIIMS Rishikesh offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, super-speciality, nursing, allied-health and research programmes. At the undergraduate level, its major programmes include MBBS, B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing and various paramedical/allied-health courses. Postgraduate offerings include MD, MS, MDS, M.Sc. Nursing, Medical M.Sc. and Master of Public Health (MPH).
