Official High School Transcripts
You need to submit transcripts from your high school or secondary school showing your academic performance, grades, and courses completed. If your transcripts are not in English, certified translations are required. EMU uses these transcripts to assess your eligibility and readiness for undergraduate study.

Standardized Test Scores (if required)
Some programs may require SAT or ACT scores, although many programs have become test-optional. If submitting scores, you must provide official reports sent directly from the testing agency. Always check the specific requirements of your intended program.

English Language Proficiency Proof (for international students)
International students must provide TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores to demonstrate proficiency in English. Some programs may waive this if you have completed prior education in English. Minimum score requirements vary depending on the program.

Personal Statement or Essay
A personal statement allows you to explain your motivation for studying at EMU, your career goals, academic interests, and why you chose your intended major. A well-written essay demonstrates your readiness for college-level coursework and gives insight into your personality and aspirations.

Letters of Recommendation
Some programs may require one or more recommendation letters from teachers, counselors, or mentors who can attest to your academic abilities, character, and potential for success in higher education. Strong letters strengthen your application by providing additional perspectives on your capabilities.

Application Form and Application Fee
You must complete EMU’s official undergraduate application form, either online or on paper, and pay the required application fee. This form collects personal information, educational history, and program preferences and serves as the primary document for your application evaluation.
