She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Oncology of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. Major medical discoveries made by the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University include the identification of blood types by Jan Janskě (1906), the discovery of Purkinje cells and fibers by Jan Evangelista Purkyně, and the groundbreaking work on amino acid linkages by Franz Hofmeister.
