It is the newest of the twelve universities in the State University System of Florida, having been established as an independent university in 2012. It is the only public polytechnic university in the state with a STEM-focused curriculum.

Everything You Need to Know About Application Requirements at Florida Polytechnic University

 

Submit an undergraduate application + application fee (approx. US$ 30). 

Provide official high school transcript(s) (or equivalent), showing completion of required academic subjects. 

Submit standardized test scores: SAT, ACT, or CLT

Meet minimum high school academic (college prep) unit requirements: English, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Foreign Language, electives. 

Have a minimum high school GPA (for FTIC applicants); Florida Poly uses GPAs and weighted transcripts, giving extra weight for honors, AP, IB, etc. 

For transfer students: provide official transcripts from all colleges attended; be in good academic standing at previous institution; minimum cumulative GPA (often ~2.0) required. 

Submit final high school transcripts + test scores by deadline (often 3 weeks before classes start). 

Submit immunization / health history / medical records as required. 

Pay an enrollment (tuition) deposit to secure the spot after admission. 

For international students: credential evaluation for transcripts, proof of English language proficiency, visa documents, proof of financial ability.
