Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University (often abbreviated as ISTU) is a public technical university located in Izhevsk, in the Udmurt Republic, Russia.  It was founded in 1952. On 22 February 2012 the university was named after Mikhail Kalashnikov, the famous small-arms designer.
