London School of Economics and Political Science own and operates 10 halls of residence in and around central London and there are also two halls owned by urbanest and five intercollegiate halls within a 3-mile radius of the school, for a total of over 4,000 places. Most residence take both undergraduate and postgraduate, although Carr-Saunders Hall and Passfield Hall are undergraduate only, and butler’s Wharf Residence, Lillian Knowles and Governor House are reserved for postgraduate. There are also flats available on Anson and Carleton roads, which are reserved for students with children. We provide housing to more than 4,000 students annually in private halls, intercollegiate residences at the University of London, and our own halls. In addition, we provide short-term rooms in halls throughout the summer and can assist you in finding a privately rented location in London.
