Satbayev University is the largest scientific and educational complex in Kazakhstan with a well-developed infrastructure for scientific and innovative research and high-precision production. The innovative ecosystem created on the basis of the complex ensures the university a high pace of technological development. The university has expanded its scientific and production infrastructure with new laboratories for joint research with industry, including the Smart Petro Hub engineering laboratory opened with the support of Tengizchevroil, which combines digital modeling. TECHNOPARK STROYTECH, an International center for construction and technology transfer, occupies a special place in the new scientific infrastructure, created as part of executing the President's instructions on forming science and technology parks at the country's leading universities. Its unique advantage is its expertise in geotechnical modeling using Midas GTS NX software package, which only Satbayev University has among Almaty universities. Student life at Satbayev University is vibrant and dynamic, centered around Lystra (formerly TheHub), which has grown from a small student community into a major hub for technological and creative development since its foundation in 2020. Over the past five years, the community has organized dozens of educational events, live streams, meetups, competitions, and creative projects, and has become the organizer of the country's largest student GameJam festivals. Notable events include Retro GameJam SU 2021, Mythical Game Jam SU 2022 (with over 150 participants), NOMAD Game Jam 2024, PUNKVERSE Game Jam SU 2025 (with over 250 participants and a prize fund of approximately 3,000,000 KZT), as well as large-scale meetups, orientation sessions, and celebratory events. The community also organizes educational meetings and workshops on topics such as "Professions in IT," no-code platforms, Figma, and Python programming, and participates in hackathons like HackNu25 where members won 2nd place in the ML track.

Step-by-Step Guide to Admission Requirements at Satbayev Kazakh National Technical University

The below information is required while
completing the university application :

1. Collect all required documents, choose the study direction and UNT profile subjects, and pass the UNT (with a creative exam for creative specialties) to receive a state grant.

2. The UNT threshold score for Satbayev University is 80 points, with at least 3 points in Mathematical Literacy and Reading Literacy, and at least 5 points in History of Kazakhstan and in profile subjects.

3. Required documents include:
   Identity card and its paper copy
   School graduation certificate or college graduation diploma with an appendix
   Medical certificate in 075 U form
   Vaccination card in 063 form
   A printout of the fluorography snapshot (issued in June, July, or August)
   Photos 3×4 cm in size (8 pieces)
   A certificate confirming the social category for grant quota (if applicable)
   A certificate of military registration (for male applicants)

4. Test dates for UNT: May 10 – July 10, 2026.

5. Creative exam registration: June 20 – July 7, 2026.

6. Deadlines for accepting documents for State educational grants competition: July 13 – July 20, 2026.
