Satbayev Kazakh National Technical University History
Satpayev University in Almaty, Kazakhstan's oldest and largest educational center for all technical areas. In the 1930s, higher technical education was prioritized to improve the technical and economic state of the national economy. Institute of Kazakh Polytechnic named after V.I. Lenin was renamed the National Technical University of Kazakhstan on the basis of Decree No. 43 issued by the Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 7 January 1994 and issued by the Ministry of Education on 2 February 1994 in accordance with Order No. one.

Following the Kazakh University of Technology after K. I. Satpaev The educational activity is carried out by seven Profile Institutes, International Postgraduate Education Institute "Excellence polytech," Institute for Distance Learning, College. The university delivers training of: 28 bachelors educational programs of the technical sphere and 18 educational programs of the nontechnical sphere, 50 Masters educational programs, 24 Ph.D. educational programs, on the base of college 18 bachelors short educational programs, 5 international educational programs of Cyprus University, 46 educational programs on the base of the second higher education.

More than 2 million copies are available from the Scientific Library, updated each year with new editions. Library readers are over 15,000 people— not just students, but faculty, researchers, educational support staff, and other staff. All of the Scientific Library's activities are designed to provide literature of its readers ' learning process, research, and cultural needs. There are 8 subscriptions and 10 reading rooms in the Scientific Library. There are 1650 seats in the halls. More than 600,000 visits are recorded annually by the library, delivering up to 1 million books, magazines, and newspapers. More than 500 Kazakh and Russian newspapers are subscribed to it.
