Slippery Rock, United States of America
A completed application and payment of $30 application fee (or waiver) is required.
Official high school transcripts (including 12th grade schedule if available) must be submitted.
SRU practices a test-optional policy (does not require SAT / ACT) for undergraduate admission (through 2027).
Students with cumulative GPA ≥ 3.25 in core high school courses are automatically admitted.
The university recommends a college-preparatory curriculum including:
• 4 years of English
• 3 years of social studies
• 3 years of science (at least two lab sciences)
• 3 years of mathematics
• 2 years of foreign language (recommended)
If students do not meet the automatic criteria, they may be considered via waitlist / holistic review, considering rigor of courses, trends in grades, performance in core courses, etc.
For special tracks (e.g. Nursing 1+2+1), additional requirements may apply including specific course units, minimum grades in math / science, and SAT / ACT minimums.
For international undergraduate applicants, in addition to above:
• Submit official translations of all secondary and (if applicable) postsecondary transcripts.
• English language proficiency: minimum TOEFL iBT 62, IELTS 6.0, or Duolingo (95) for non-native English speakers, unless exemption criteria are met.
