A. Academic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (with science subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math).
Minimum grades: 70% or above (varies by country; competitive programs may require higher scores).
B. Language Proficiency
For English-taught programs (e.g., MBBS):
IELTS 6.0+ or TOEFL 80+ (if from non-English speaking country).
Waivers possible if previous education was in English.
For Chinese-taught programs:
HSK 4 or above (HSK 5 preferred for clinical programs).
C. Age Requirement
Applicants should be 17–25 years old (exceptions possible).
D. Health Check
Medical report (no severe chronic diseases or infectious conditions like HIV/TB).

Completed SMU application form.
High school transcripts & graduation certificate (notarized & translated).
Passport copy (valid for at least 2 years).
Language proficiency certificate (IELTS/TOEFL/HSK).
Personal statement (300–500 words).
Two recommendation letters (from teachers/professors).
Non-criminal record certificate.
Physical examination form (downloadable from SMU’s website).
4. Application Process & Deadlines
Application Period: March–July (for September intake).
Apply via: SMU’s online portal or authorized agents.
Admission Review: 4–6 weeks after submission.
Visa Process: Accepted students receive JW202 form for a student visa (X1/X2).
