Life at the University of Economics in Katowice extends far beyond the lecture hall, offering a vibrant and engaging experience. Students can pursue their passions by joining numerous student research groups, academic associations, the University Choir, or the renowned "Silesianie" Song and Dance Ensemble. The university is also a hub for athletic achievement, with students and graduates securing medals at international events like the Chess Olympiad and even representing Poland at the Summer Olympic Games. This dynamic environment, which led to UEKat winning the Polish Academic Championships in 2016, ensures that students can develop their soft skills, build friendships, and create memories that last a lifetime  

UEKat offers extensive career support to ensure its students and graduates are competitive in the job market. The Careers Service and Alumni Relations office is the central hub for this activity, managing a vast database with approximately 1,500 job offers and 700 internship and traineeship opportunities annually. At any given time, around 300 active job postings are available to students. The office runs flagship projects like the "Career Academy" and "Business Academy" to equip students with practical job-seeking skills and entrepreneurial knowledge. This support yields impressive results: graduates of UEKat are among the best-paid in Silesia, and they secure employment faster than graduates from other public universities in the region, often finding their first job just over two months after graduation
