What is the University of Gastronomic Sciences and what makes it unique?

Yes, UNISG regularly opens its doors for guided tours of the Pollenzo campus, including presentations of the academic programs and Q&A sessions with faculty and staff.

How do I apply to the Bachelor's program in Gastronomic Sciences and Cultures?

To apply, candidates must register their personal data on the UNISG portal, complete the Web Registration process, and submit an online dossier including diploma self-certification, a CV in English, and English certification.

What does the admission test consist of?

The admission process consists of two tests with a maximum total score of 100. The first is the online dossier submission worth up to 30 points. The second is a final online interview before a commission of at least two UNISG professors, worth up to 70 points, assessing scientific and cultural knowledge, language skills, and the candidate's overall background.

Where is UNISG located and what is the campus like?

UNISG is based in Pollenzo, a small town about 6 km outside the city of Bra, nestled in the hills of the Roero region in Piedmont, Italy. The campus is housed within the Agenzia di Pollenzo complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is part of the "Residenze Sabaude," featuring modern classrooms, specialized laboratories, a library, and the renowned Banca del Vino.

How do students typically find accommodation?

Students usually live in apartments in the center of Bra and travel to Pollenzo by bus or bicycle each day to attend classes.

Can international students extend their stay in Italy after graduation?

Yes, students who wish to extend their stay beyond their studies can apply for a permit of stay "in attesa occupazione" (waiting for employment).

Can the post-study permit be converted into a work permit?

Yes, the "in attesa occupazione" permit may subsequently be converted into a long-term permit of stay "per lavoro" (for work) should students secure a valid work contract at an Italian company.
