Indian performance really well in the latest world University rankings

Around 45 institutions from India have been ranked in the top 2900 educational institutions of the world as per the latest QS World University Rankings. This makes India the seventh most represented country in this list. IIT Bombay has been ranked at 149th position all over the world, making it the first university in India to be featured among the top 150 universities. On the other hand, the Indian Institute of science has slipped down to its previous year rankings because of some change in metrics as per which the latest rankings have been released. This year rankings have been made as per various parameters out of which one is the internationalisation of faculty. Not only universities are being ranked on the basis of diversification in students but also faculty. These changing metrics are a reason why it has become difficult for universities to retain their positions every year.

 

Counselling for IITs and NITs begin for Indian students

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority which is responsible for conducting the counselling for IITs in NIT has officially released its first cut-off for various universities and programmes that are registered under the JOSAA counselling. Candidates can check these official cut-offs to determine the opening and closing ranks of various programmes in different universities. The closing ranks for the computer science program at IIT Bombay stands at 291st rank. The closing ranks for IIT Delhi Computer Science stands at 115th rank. The cut-off ranks are expected to decrease with every new cut-off list.

Over 262 medical colleges established in India in the past eight years

CUET results for UG exams to be out by 15th of July

The official results for CUET UG exams are expected to be out by 15th of July. NTA has officially released the answer keys for students. The objection window has also been opened where candidates can file any objections related to the answer key. The candidate will have to pay an extra fee to submit the grievance. Candidates can easily calculate their marks through the answer key. The changes if any will be reflected in the final results automatically. This year around 14,00,00 students gave the CUET exam for UG courses.

IIM Ahmedabad welcome the new batch of postgraduate students with 58 of students from engineering backgrounds

IIM Ahmedabad has welcomed a new batch of postgraduate students for the Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agribusiness Management (PGP FABM). 58% of the students are from engineering background which is a record high for IIM Ahmedabad. This is the 60th batch of the flagship programme offered by IIM Ahmedabad. This class consists of 408 proficient students from different Academy and personal backgrounds. 26% of these students are freshers whereas the rest of the students have worked in various departments before joining IIM Ahmedabad.

CUET UG 2023 answer key released

The official answer key for CUET UG exam 2023 has been released by NTA. Students can check the answer key on the official website of CUET. The national testing agency conducted the exam of CUET from 21st May to 23rd June. Candidates can now check their marks in the official answer key. The objection window is also opened so students can submit their objections if they have any by paying some fees for the same. Once the objection windows closed, students will no longer be able to raise concerns related to the answer key. After this, the official results will be released and CUET will commence with the counselling process.

Delhi University debuts in top 500 universities of the world in the latest QS World University Rankings

The latest QS World University Rankings have been released recently in which the Delhi University has debuted among the top 500 universities of the world at 401st position. This is the first time Delhi University has achieved this ranking. IIT Bombay has also been featured in the list of the top 150 universities of the world being ranked at 147th position. IIT Bengaluru has also made a significant improvement in its ranking as it is ranked at 155th position worldwide as compared to the last year of 225th ranking. Over 50 percent of students wanting to study abroad unaware of application process

In a recent survey done among students who wanted to go abroad for higher education, it was found out that more than 50% of students were unaware of the application process. The latest QS world University rankings have been released officially. The Massachusetts Institute of technology has again been ranked as the number one institute in the world. Three universities from Australia have made it to the top 20 list. The National University of Singapore has made significant improvement by jumping three sports from being ranked 11th worldwide last year to now getting the 8th spot. IIT Bombay has been able to secure a place in the top 150 institutes of the world. More than 50% of the universities in the top 20 list are from the US.
