Mid Sweden University was founded on 1 July 1993 as a result of the merger of the University College of Sundsvall/Härnösand and the University College of Östersund. It was granted full university status from 1 January 2005 and thus became Mid Sweden University.

Everything You Need to Know About Application Requirements at Mid Sweden University

Applicants must have successfully completed upper-secondary (high-school) education or an equivalent international qualification. 

Proof of English language proficiency is required; for example, a qualification equivalent to the Swedish upper-secondary course “English 6” or “English B”. 

In addition to the general requirements, each programme may have specific subject prerequisites (for example mathematics, physics) or selection criteria. 

Documentation of prior study records and other application materials must be submitted via the national portal (UniversityAdmissions.se).
