1. An academic qualification equivalent to the Malaysian HSC/STPM or a recognised Diploma is required.

2. Accepted qualifications:
   - A Level
   - Secondary High School Certificate / Senior High School Diploma: minimum 12 years of schooling.
   - Diploma or equivalent: minimum CGPA 2.50, subject to Malaysian Government recognition and UPSI Senate approval.

3. Must satisfy specific programme requirements as set by the faculty.

4. Must pass a University Entrance Examination, where such an examination is required in the applicant's country.

5. Must have a good pass in O Level or equivalent.

6. English language proficiency: TOEFL 550, or IELTS 5.0, or pass UPSI's English Language Proficiency (ELP) test.
