Wake Forest University was founded in 1834. It is a private university located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with about more than 8,000 students. Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center-
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist at Wake Forest University is a distinguished academic health system in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and also a part of Atrium Health Enterprise. Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s two main areas are an integrated clinical system – tie-up with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Centre and an 885-bed tertiary-care hospital in Winston-Salem – which includes Brenner Children’s Hospital, five community hospitals, nearly 300 primary and specialty care locations and more than 2,700 physicians and Wake Forest School of Medicine, the academic core of Atrium Health Enterprise and a recognized institution in experiential medical education and ground breaking research that involves Wake Forest Innovations, a commercialization enterprise mainly focuses on advancing health care through new medical technologies and biomedical discoveries.
Clarkson Campus –
Clarkson Campus at Wake Forest University is just ten miles away from the main campus of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. This campus was named in honour of Thomas B Clarkson Jr to acknowledge his achievements during his 58-year career at Wake Forest School of Medicine. The prime activities at the Clarkson Campus are research and training. The Campus was the major place to the faculty of the Section on Comparative Medicine from the mid-1960s and researchers from a various departments and centers also used the Clarkson Campus.
Wake Forest Innovation Quarter-
Innovation Quarter campus at Wake Forest University is a place where students come from different communities, the campus offers a unique mixed environment and a welcoming community, which sparks the creativity and collaboration that catalyze innovation and growth.
Libraries
Wake Forest University has different libraries namely Z. Smith Reynolds Library, Business Information Commons, Law Library and Carpenter Library. The libraries support the research and learning needs of more than undergraduates and nearly about 3,000 graduate and professional students in the School of Business, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Divinity, Business School and Law School. Besides providing research help, the library also organises many student events like- “Wake the Library,” “Outbreak” etc.

Medical services
Student Health Service at Wake Forest University is an on-campus medical facility. They help students stay healthy by offering an array of services such as standard doctor’s visits, flu shots, HIV testing, X-Rays, and much more. With Well Clinic and Respiratory Clinic we also provide pharmacy and laboratory services. Our student’s health service team consists of licensed and certified medical professionals and is guided by Director Cecil Price, MD who has an experience of almost 30 years of service in health department.
Student’s clubs
The office of student engagement offers many student clubs and organizations. Students can build valuable skills and relationships that enhance their academic journey, by participating in student organizations, campus programs, and leadership initiatives. The student engagement team is determined to connect students to involve in opportunities that match their personal interests and passion.
