France is offering a special scholarship to Indian students called the France Excellence Charpak masters and bachelor scholarship. Students who are interested in pursuing their bachelors and masters degree from France can apply for the scholarship. Students selected for the bachelor's degree will get monthly aid of €860. It is compulsory for all candidates to be Indian citizens and below the age of 30 years at the time of applying to be eligible for the masters scholarship programme. For the bachelor scholarship program, the candidate cannot be more than 23 years old at the time of applying. Students can also apply for a student exchange programme under which an authorised Institute from India has to recommend their name to spend a semester in France as a part of the student exchange program.
IIM Sambalpur is inviting candidates from around the world to apply for its two year long executive MBA program. The deadline to apply for the program is 31st March, 2024. After the deadline is over, the institute will not be accepting any application. The course is specifically designed for working professionals who want to pursue an MBA degree without having to leave their jobs. The course curriculum seeks to integrate innovative business ideas across different spectrums to solve the existing world problems. Candidates applying for the program must have completed their bachelors degree with at least 50% marks. It is also compulsory to have at least three years of entrepreneurial or managerial experience to be eligible for the program. The whole shortlisting criteria will be based on the applicants work experience, personal interview and their academic qualifications.
The National Testing Agency has launched admit cards for CUET PG exam that is going to be organised on 20th March and 21st March. Students who will be appearing for the exams on these days can download their admit card from the official website of NTA or CUET PG. It is compulsory for all candidates to carry a hard copy of their admit card to the examination centre to be able to give the exam. The admit card will have all the information such as the examination, roll number, identity and the examination centre of the student. Students must reach the examination centre at least one hour before the designated time. Carrying any electronic equipment is prohibited and students must also carry their identity proof with themselves to the examination centre.
The National Credit Framework is going to be implemented in classes 9th and 11th from 2024 onwards. The CBSE officials have contacted over 300 CBSE schools across the country to explain to them about the importance of the national credit framework. Under the credit framework, each chapter in the syllabus will be given a fixed amount of time to be explained in the classroom. The concept behind this new initiative is to decide a particular amount of time needed for students to understand certain topics in the classrooms. This year the NCrF will only be implemented in class 9th and class 11th. However, after analysing its performance for this academic year, CBSE will implement it in other classes as well in the coming years.

The registration process for the US H1B visa is going to close on 22nd March. all the interested candidates who want to apply for the visa must use the website USCIS for the application process. Candidates would be easily able to process their applications and pay the processing fee through the official portal. The H1B cap petitions will be accepted from April 1 onwards. In the coming weeks, people can witness substantial tweaks in the H1B visa processing criteria. The USCIS has said that these changes are aimed towards strengthening the immigration system of the US and taking better care of immigrants. It will also help people stay away from any kind of visa fraud. From 1st April onwards, immigrants will have to pay US$110 for visa processing fees. The registration fee for H1B visa has also been hiked to US$215.
The NTA that is responsible for organising exams like JEE, CUET and NEET in India has announced that the schedule announced for all these exams will remain unchanged because of the upcoming elections. Many students were doubtful as the date of these examinations are going to clash with the upcoming standard exams. The JEE mains session to exam is going to be organised between April 4 and April 15. The NEET UG is going to be organised between 15th May to 31st May across different shifts. A lot of students were expecting these exams to get postponed because of the upcoming elections. However NTA has clarified that the date for these exams will remain unchanged. For CUET UG, NTA is yet to give an idea about the exact dates on which the exam is going to be organised.
The NTA will be opening the correction window for NEET UG from 18th March, 2024. students will be able to edit their application forms till 20th March, 2024. The edits will be accepted only till 11:50 PM at 20th March, 2024. After that no applications will be accepted. students will have to pay an additional fee for making corrections in their application forms. It is important to remember that any wrong information that has been submitted in the application form for the exam is going to be permanent. At the time of admission, the wrong information may create a problem for the student and may even lead to loss of seat. This is the reason why it is extremely important to make sure that all the information that has been submitted is correct.
The Canadian province Nova Scotia will be only processing 12,900 student visas in 2024. These applications will be divided among different colleges, provinces, institutes and language schools of the province. Currently the success rate for a student visa for Canada, 60%. The NEET MDS 2024 is all set to be conducted on 19th March, 2024. The Chief Justice of India has taken a decision to extend the Internship submission date from 31st March to 31st June. Students from around the country were protesting to postpone the NEET MDS exam because of clashes with Internship dates. However, on 15th March, the matter was taken to supreme Court where it was decided that the date of the exam will remain the same. The Internship date on the other hand has been postponed. This will help students prepare well for the exam and avoid any clashes. The portal was open for three more days for students to be able to register themselves. Around 568 new registrations were accepted. The NEET MDS exams admit card has already been released. Students may download from the official website of NEET MDS.
NBEMS is all set to release the NEET MDS admit card for the 2024 exam on 15th March, 2024. There has been a growing demand from the students' side to postpone the exam. However, the concern of the students was not considered for the longest time. Now after multiple pleas, the Supreme Court of India is all set to organise a hearing session on 15th March, 2024. During this session, it will be decided whether the examination will be postponed or not. As per the schedule of NEET MDS 2024, the admit card will be released on 15th March,2024. Students have been demanding the postponement of the exam as it is going to be conducted before their practical exams and it made no sense. There are multiple students who are yet in their final year of graduation and it wouldn't be possible for them to juggle two things at the same time.
NEET UG correction window is all set to open from 18th March, 2024. The window will stay open till 20th March, 2024. The portal will only accept changes till 11:50 PM of 20th March. Students will have the opportunity to make all the changes that they want in their examination form by paying a nominal charge. It is important for students to remember that these changes will be final and after the correction window has been concluded, no student will be able to make any changes in their registration form. After much deliberation, Delhi University is all set to establish a Centre for Advanced Studies in Buddhism. This will be a collaboration between the university and the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The purpose of establishing the department is to revive the Buddhist studies in India. The estimated cost to establish this new centre is going to be at least INR 35 crore. In the past few years there has been a growing demand among young students to pursue courses in the field of Buddhist studies. Through this initiative, the Ministry of Minority Affairs wants to increase the number of opportunities for students who want to know more about different cultures and religions of India. The centre is going to offer bachelors, masters and even PhD degrees to interested students.
Jamia Millia Islamia, which is one of the most reputed universities of India has established three new departments in the field of law, dental science and medicine. Now the institute has more than 48 departments that offer multiple courses in various disciplines. The university has also launched some self financed new courses in the field of STEM. This includes BTech in electronics and computer science, BTech in Data Sciences, and MTech in Data Sciences. The annual tuition fee for the BTech programme is 1,50,000 and for the MTech programme the tuition fee is 54,000 annually. Regarding the new departments that have been established, students will get to know about the admission criteria and the courses being offered very soon.
Macquarie University from Australia is offering scholarships to students from India and Sri Lanka. The scholarship will be given in the form of a tuition fee waiver. An annual scholarship of AU$10,000 will be given to the selected students from the academic year 2024-2025 onwards. This means that a student who enrolled in a four year undergraduate programme will be getting AU$40,000. To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must be admitted in a full time program in the university. The scholarship will be only given to students who have a citizenship of either India or Sri Lanka. The candidates must also have a full time offer from Macquarie University to be eligible for the scholarship. Students can choose to study in different disciplines including business analytics, data science, banking and finance and many more.
Currently the CBSE board examinations for class 10th and 12th are being conducted around the country. The results for the examination are likely to be out in the month of May. After completing the 10th class, students have to choose a combination of subjects that they want to pursue in class 11th and 12th. This year onwards, CBSE has implemented a lot of changes in alignment with NEP, 2020 that students need to know about. Previously, the subject choosing criteria was extremely rigid. However, now students will get the opportunity to choose from somewhere 110 subjects. A new group called group S has been introduced that will carry subjects that are going to be skill-based. There are 39 skill-based subjects that have been introduced by CBSE. It is mandatory for students to choose at least five subjects. It is totally up to the student if they want to choose an extra subject as well. Students must also choose at least one language between Hindi and English.
IIT Ropar is inviting candidates from around the world to apply for its summer internship programme 2024. Candidates will have to apply for internship through the official website of IIT Ropar. For different departments, candidates will have to apply to different portals. It is compulsory to choose the department while applying for the internship as different courses are being offered by different departments of the institute. The last date to register oneself is 24th March, 2024. The summer internship programme will begin from 15th May and will go on till 15th July. The candidates will also have to select a relevant supervisor in the field of study that they want to pursue at the institute. Candidates can at most select three different supervisors, although in the end, they will be allotted only one.
The NEET UG 2024 exam has received over 25,00,00 registrations as of now. This is roughly 4,20,000 more registrations as compared to the previous year. There are a total 1,08,940 seats for candidates in medical colleges in India. Earlier students had the deadline to apply for the exam till 9th March, 2024. However, NTA decided to postpone the deadline for registration to 16th March, 2024. There are still a few days left for registration so it is highly likely that the number of registrations are going to increase even more. more than 55% of the applicants who have registered for the examination are female. Canada has finally implemented its much anticipated student visa cap. The Trudeau government has decided to only issue 2,92,000 student visas in 2024. This is the number for both post graduate and undergraduate students combined. The IRCC had extended its concern over the unsustainable growth of international students in Canada, which was leading to rise in housing prices and less availability of part-time jobs. Initially it was decided to reduce the number of students by 35% over the span of the coming two years. This meant that Canada would allow 3,60,000 new students to study in the country. In 2024, students can expect an overall acceptance rate of 60% for international students from different countries. There will be a massive decline in student visa processing for bachelors, masters, and doctorate degrees.
