What is the difference between a Golden visa and Golden passport

Posted on: November 11, 2023

Golden visa is a very popular concept among people who migrate to a new country by investing large amounts of money. This gives them the ability to stay in a country and the opportunity to live their life like any normal citizen in the country, without having to go through any problem. In a lot of cases, Golden Visa also comes with a temporary residence permit, but it does get permanent eventually. Some countries also offer golden visas with permanent residence as well.

Golden passports, on the other hand, don't come with any minimum time constraints and an individual gets an instant permanent residence. It is almost like getting citizenship of a country. Most of the countries in the world do not allow any individual to have dual citizenship, which is why a person may have to give up on the citizenship of their native country for the sake of a golden passport.
