CUET opens its correction window for PG courses

Now that the last date to register for CUET counselling is finally over, the correction window has been officially opened by NTA. NTA opened the CSAS portal for PG students who wanted to get admissions in universities through the CUET entrance exam. This is a counselling portal that will look after the seat allocation. Students could register at the portal till 10th of August 2023. Now students can make any changes that they want in their forms till 14th August, 2023.

NTA will soon start releasing cut-off lists for different colleges and programmes that come under CUET. This year more than 200 universities have registered for CUET.

 

44 students from India said to travel to the UK under the Chevening Scholarship

Around 22 men and 22 women have been selected from India for the Sh evening scholarship offered by the UK. Since 1983, around 37,000 colleges from India have benefited from this scholarship. The British high commission decided to organise a special sendoff for the selected students on August 8, 2023. all the selected scholars will get the privilege to study in the top universities of the UK at sponsored cost. The scholarship will cover the living cost, tuition fees, travel fees and other medical benefits as well.

Most of the selected students will be pursuing their masters in the field of STEM. All their expenses will be sponsored by different groups. The students will soon be leaving for their semester.

 

CUET CSAS portal for PG courses to close on 10th August 2023

10 August 2023 is the last day to register for the CSCS portal for all the students who want to take admissions in the PG courses under CUET. After the registration, NTA will begin with counselling under which students will be given colleges And courses as per their marks. Students can choose their college preferences and program preferences during registration. General and EWS students have to pay Rs.2 50 for registration. SC and ST students have to pay Rs.100 per subject.

Delhi University along with other universities have already released their first cut-off list. Generally these universities release at least 5-7 cut-off lists.

 

The new education policy in Bengal makes it compulsory for students to learn at least three languages during 5th to 8th standard

The government of West Bengal has implemented the new education policy from this academic year only. The new education policy will bring a lot of changes to the education system of the state. One of the most significant features is the compulsion of learning at least three languages during middle school. The third language out of the three languages can be a regional or an international language.

Delhi University fills 87 percent of seats in first round of admissions

More than 87% of the total seats of Delhi University have been filled by the first round of admissions. The maximum number of enrolments have been at the Hansraj College, the Ramjas college and Dyal Singh College. The top five courses that have been opted by students are BCom (Hons), BCom, BA (Hons) Political Science, BA (Hons) Economics and BA (Hons) English. 

Delhi University has a total 71,000 CUG programmes. Around 62,000 seats have been filled so far. Out of all these candidates, 53% of them are females. The allocation has been done under the CSAS portal.

University of Cambridge launches special scholarship for Indian students to study the history of Indian indentured labor

The University of Cambridge has launched a scholarship for Indian students. Indian students will receive a fellowship to study the history of Indian indentured labour at the University of Cambridge. Indentured labour was a very controversial system of labour introduced by the Britishers in India. The program will allow the selected student to spend eight weeks at the university. This programme will run for five years initially and new students will get an opportunity through this time.

 

University of Bath start extends application deadlines for Indian students for MSc in sports and exercise medicine program

The University of Bath has started Accepting applications for students interested in pursuing their MSc in sports and exercise medicine courses. This is a part-time distance learning course which takes around 3 to 5 years to get completed. The annual tuition fee of this course is £7000 currently.
