Morehead State University History

Morehead State University is located in Morehead, Kentucky. The University was established way back in 1887 and is considered to be one of the oldest universities in the region. Morehead State University started small in the beginning as Morehead Normal School. The school over the period of time expanded and added more courses and programs. The name of the University kept changing with time and finally, in the year 1966, it changed its name to what it is known by today Morehead State University. The university has a long-standing history and continues to keep its culture intact.

Morehead State University Campus has one main campus that is located near the Daniel Boone National Forest in Morehead, Kentucky. The campus is spread across 700 acres and comprises some major buildings. Morehead State University Campus mainly has administrative buildings, academic buildings, a library, residential halls, and dining, sports and recreational facilities, an auditorium, 150 laboratories, and many other such facilities.
