Mount Marty University Libraries

    Mount Marty University Library, also known as Mother Jerome Schmitt Library, is named after Mount Marty University's first president. The Mother Jerome Schmitt Library is the center of academic activity on the Yankton campus. Mother Jerome Schmitt Library has three study rooms for either active reading or collaboration with other students. The library also provides cutting-edge printing and copying services. Mother Jerome Schmitt Library alone has over 75,000 volumes of books and more than 125 current journals, magazines, and newspapers.

     Mount Marty University offers the house to its students. Whitby Hall is a male-only residence with air conditioning, the latest beds, household equipment, and renovated bathrooms. The main lounge has a pool, foosball, air hockey, and ping pong tables, as well as cable television, furniture, and a kitchenette. Male and female students are housed in Corbey Hall. Each floor has a living area with a TV, DVD player, and comfortable sofas and chairs. The main lounge has a large kitchenette, a pool table, as well as study and lounge furniture.

Mount Marty University residence life is exciting and introduces you to a variety of lifestyles, perceptions, attitudes, and values that complement the education you receive here. Connecting with neighbors and the activities that surround you will help you learn more about yourself and your classmates. Each floor has a Residence Assistant (RA) to assist students, and a Residence Hall Director (RHD) is available for more challenging issues and concerns, as well as additional guidance. They also plan activities such as game nights, movie nights, socials, and other gatherings. If residents have any concerns, they should speak with their RA or RHD. Throughout the academic year, the Director of Residence Life and Campus Safety is on hand to assist residents.
