Posted on: June 27, 2022

It's a renowned fact that Ivy League universities are highly competitive when it comes to selection. But what is lesser known is the high amount of fees that they charge from students. Even though these universities only allow the elite class cream students of the world, still they don't compromise on the high fee payment. Although these universities do offer some of the greatest aid to students, there is a ray of hope. Now financial help from college is driven by different reasons. Some might be on academic grounds whereas some might be on financial status and so on. But the majority of them are based on merit only and securing a merit based scholarship is not that easy which can go as high as 50000 USD. Partial funding from private sources is also a good option but that only covers 5-8% of your education. The best way to secure your free education is building an overall great profile. GRE, GMAT, SAT also increase the chances for students to get scholarships. Maximum support also comes from need based reasons. Even if you have really good grades and extracurriculars, if you can pay the fees then you might not get the scholarship.

Common regarding the US student visa

Posted on: June 23, 2022

There is a lot of confusion regarding the US visa process and there are many reasons for that. One of the major reasons is that so many people and immigration consultants have spread false narratives about it so there is a scarcity of authentic information. One of the most asked questions is that are any universities or colleges denied visas and the answer is that the US embassy accepts visas of students having admission letters from all the american accredited universities. Another question is when to start applying and the answer is as early as possible. As soon as the forms are out, be an early applicant. Another query is whether students need proof of a medical exam or a police report and the answer is no. Students who have siblings studying in the States are worried that they will be accessed on the basis of their records which is a misunderstanding because everyone is evaluated on their individual basis. Students who are studying on a student loan are often worried if that will hamper their image but that is also not the case. Just make sure you have a convincing answer of how you will be able to pay back your loan and you are good to go.

How to decide your friend group as an international student?

Posted on: June 22, 2022

Studying abroad is an experience to behold. What most people crave during their tenure as students is - experience and company. Both of them are an essential part of one's personal growth and character. Choosing friends, especially when you are studying overseas, should be a very selective process. Of Course friendship and selection don't really go together that well because there's probably no science or mathematics behind making or choosing your friends. It's a very organic process and happens very randomly. But since studying abroad makes you a very easy and vulnerable target for many looking to take advantage, it's better to take precautions. Always choose quality over quantity. Having large friend groups is not necessary. Instead have a limited and fixed number of friends you can rely upon. Also don't keep your expectations too high. Everyone has a life to live and work to do. Choose friends that are good for your mental health and don't drain you mentally.
