Tokai University History

Tokai University is a private university located in Tokyo, Japan. It was established in the year 1946 as Japan’s old educational system. In 2008, Tokai University, Kyushu University, and Hokkaido Tokai University were reorganized into Tokai University.

Tokai University Programs, Courses, and Schools

Tokai University offers 21 courses in undergraduate programs, postgraduate programs, master’s programs, and doctorate programs. The University also include certification courses, Japanese language education. The University has 21 faculties and 80 departments. The University has more than 1,653 academic staff including 28,584 undergraduate students and 969 postgraduate students.

Tokai University Campuses

Tokai University has 8 campuses. The first campus is Yoyogi campus and it is the headquarters in Shibuya, Tokyo. The second campus is Aso campus which is located in Kawayou, Minamiaso-mura. The third campus is Shonan campus which is located in Kitakaname, Hiratsuka. The fourth campus is Isehara campus which is located in Boseidai, Isehara City. The fifth campus is Kumamoto campus which is located in Tohoku, Kumamoto. The sixth campus Sapporo campus is located in Minamisawa, Sapporo city. The seventh campus is Shimizu campus located Shimizu- origo in Shizuoka City. The eight campus is Takanawa campus located in Takanawa, Minato.

Tokai University Achievements

Tokai University, Graduate School of Engineering MikeshAssati was awarded the Chairperson Award at the international conference “ISER-565th International Conference on Science, Health and Medicine”. The University Graduate students, of the Graduate School of Information and Communication Studies, received the "Outstanding Student Presentation Award" at the IEICE Electronics, Information and Systems Competition. Associate Professor Masaaki Abe, Department of Social Welfare, Faculty of Health Sciences, won the 2013 Teaching Award for Excellence at Tokai University.

Tokai University USP

Tokai University ranked 34th in World University Ranking in 2016- 2017. Tokai University received the top ranking in the categories, "Co-publications with industrial partners," "Industry co-patents," "Publications cited in patents," and "International doctorate degrees." The University ranked 40th in National University Ranking and 850 in World University Ranking in 2018- 19.
