Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi, is a public university which is located in Mexico. It is the largest, oldest and most prestigious university in the state of San Luis Potosi as well as one of the most important ones in Mexico. It was established in the year 1923, it was the first university in Mexico to have autonomy constitutionally granted.

Salvador Nava Martinez was a professor of Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi in School of Medicine, eventually, he became the leader in the opposition movement in San Luis Potosi and greater Mexican Political arena.

The CLEY team, composed of the students of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, Yung Leung Esperanza de Alba Chong, of the Degree in Chemistry , César Eduardo VázquezMartínez, of Electrical Mechanical Engineering , and Manuel Alejandro VázquezMartínez, of Biomedical Engineering , obtained the first place in Valeo Innovation Challenge 2017, Technological Innovation category.
