Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute also is known as National Technical University of Ukraine or NTUU is a university-based in the city of Kiev, Ukraine. The university was established in 1898 as Kiev Polytechnic Institute of Emperor Alexander II in a rented building subsequently building its own complex in 1902. Leading Russian Scientists such as Dmitri Mendeleev, Nikolai Zhukovsky and Kliment Arkadyevich Timiryazev provided substantial assistance in founding the university.
