University of Anbar History

University of Anbar is one of the esteemed public research university located in Ramadi, Iraq. The University was founded in the year 1987. The University was initially started as a small community college which later on sustained to a full-fledged University under the governance of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz for imparting higher education in applied medical sciences.

University of Anbar Courses and Schools

University of Anbar is composed of eighteen colleges, sixteen faculties and many departments. It offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in the disciplines of Applied Sciences, Medicine, Architecture, Arts, Designing, Law, Sports, Business Studies, Economics, Education, Medical Biology, Administrative Sciences, Education, Pharmacy, Languages, Computer Sciences, Sports, Tourism, Hospitality, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Veterinary Sciences, Dentistry, Information Sciences, Liberal Arts, Technology, Law and many more. The University has international research affiliations with many countries all across the world.

University of Anbar has a huge campus. The campus has a huge dormitory. The hostel rooms available for are fully equipped. The Campus represents state of art infrastructure and is furnished with computer laboratories, Theatres, Stores, Cafeterias, fitness centre and a Sports activity club.
The library of the University is very big and digitalised and well furnished with latest version of books, electronic databases, mandates, journals and articles.
