University of Udine History

The University of Udine also known as Universita Degli Studi di Udine in Italian is a university located in Udine, Italy. The university was established in 1978 after the Friuli Earthquake of 1976 which reduced the region into rubble. The university has ever since grown to enroll 17,000 students today.

University of Udine Programs, Courses, and Schools

The University of Udine comprises eight departments that offer a wide range of programs at the undergraduate and graduate level. Some of the subjects on offer are Economics, Statistics, Food, and Environmental Sciences, Animal Sciences, Languages, Literature, Communication, and Education and Society. 

The University of Udine also offers programs in Medicine, Law Sciences, Humanistic Studies, Cultural Heritage, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Architecture, and Engineering. 

University of Udine Campuses

The University of Udine is located in the city of Udine in the Friuli region of Italy. The university campus largely consists of refurbished buildings that were re-developed in the wake of the 1976 earthquake in the region. The university campus is located near the city centre and is walking distance from all the major amenities the city has to offer.

 The University of Udine offers many facilities to its students such as libraries, career centre, student unions and clubs, computer and technology services, health services, and dedicated teams to assist international students.

University of Udine Achievements

The University of Udine is one of the few young universities in Italy to participate and collaborate with institutions nationally and internationally on various research and development projects and programs. 

The University of Udine has also performed exceptionally well in many league tables. The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings ranks the university in the top 600 universities in the world in the year 2020, top 150 young universities, and top 200 European Teaching Rankings in 2019.

 University of Udine USP

The University of Udine participates in the ERASMUS program of the European Union which allows its students to study for a semester at partner institutions in Europe. The university also offers many opportunities to study abroad at institutions outside Europe through agreements and partnerships.

The University of Udine has a high acceptance rate and is not a very selective institution. The university also offers scholarships through its university reward system to assist students with tuition fees and living costs.
