University of Udine History
The University of Udine also known as Universita Degli Studi di Udine in Italian is a university located in Udine, Italy. The university was established in 1978 after the Friuli Earthquake of 1976 which reduced the region into rubble. The university has ever since grown to enroll 17,000 students today.

The University of Udine comprises eight departments that offer a wide range of programs at the undergraduate and graduate level. The University of Udine is located in the city of Udine in the Friuli region of Italy. The university campus largely consists of refurbished buildings that were re-developed in the wake of the 1976 earthquake in the region.
