Carthage College is based at Kenosha, Wisconsin. The college is a private college that was founded in the year 1847. It's already been 175 years to the college. The college when it initially started was established in Hillsboro, Illinois and was named the The Literary and Theological Institute of the Lutheran Church. Then later on the name got changed to Hillsboro College. In 1852, the institute got relocated and changed its name to Illinois State University. I'm 1870, it finally moved to the current destination and it was named Carthage College. Gradually, the college got popular and attracted more number of students. Today, the total strength of the college is 2800.
