Dordt University History

Dordt University is based at Sioux Center, Iowa. The university was founded in the year 1953 and started as the Midwest Christian Junior College. The college started with its first class in 1955 that had only 35 students enrolled. The college in its preceding years, became a four-year graduate college and changed its to Dordt College. The name was given to honor Synod of Dordt. The college since then did well and grew rapidly by adding more courses and programs that included: nursing, engineering, business, social work, criminal justice, construction management, international business and many others. Recently, in 2019 the college changed its name to Dordt University.

Dordt University USP and Achievements

The college in its preceding years, became a four-year graduate college and changed its to Dordt College. The name was given to honor Synod of Dordt. The college since then did well and grew rapidly by adding more courses and programs that included: nursing, engineering, business, social work, criminal justice, construction management, international business and many others. Dordt University Campus is based at Sioux Center, Iowa. The campus is just some miles aways from the Sioux City. The university campus is spread across around 115 acres and has 25 buildings. Visa and Immigration

International students applying to Dordt University are eligible for both F1 and J1 Visa depending on the course they have applied. They can apply for Visa once their admission is confirmed by the university. Once their admission is accepted by the university they can then pay the SEVIS Fee.
