University of South Africa History

University of South Africa a Mega public university located in Pretoria and was established in the year 1873. The university formerly started as an examining agency for the worldwide renowned Universities, The Oxford and The Cambridge. Initially the University was known as University of the Cape of Good Hope Further in the year 2004 and after its merger with Technikon Southern Africa and was renamed as the University of South Africa and started offering distant education courses worldwide. The University is also known as UNISA.  

University of South Africa Programs, Courses and Schools

University of South Africa comprises of nine Colleges and several Schools and Faculties. The University offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate and Distant Learning degrees in the disciplines of Business Administration, Economics, Human Sciences, Law, Medicine, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Economics, Management Studies, Engineering, and Technology, Arts, Accounting Studies, Business Leadership Environmental Sciences. The University has international affiliations and accreditations with Association of African Universities, and ACU HESA and strategic alliances with more than 50 countries all across the globe.

University of South Africa presents a scaffolding infrastructure of the campus and positioned in situated in Pretoria.  Both the campuses are beautiful, huge and scattered over a vast area in the southern part of the city. The campus building has several facilities for its students. 

The University is stalled with several workshops and computer laboratory, a gymnasium, model room, several vending machines, a badminton court, a student club, a huge Pavilion. University of South Africa owns the largest library in South Africa. It is well furnished with latest books, e-books, e-journals.
