Bar Ilan University colloquially known as BIU and Universitat Bar-Ilan is an Israeli higher education institution located in the city of Ramat Gen near Tel Aviv. The university was established in year 1955 by Professor Pinkhos Churgin and currently enrols over 18000 students and employs 1300 plus faculty.
