Indian Institute of Management Calcutta History

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta was established in 1961 and is located in Kolkata, India. Ever since its independence, the country started facing difficulties in finding suitable managers to run the public sector enterprises. This led to the rise of management institutes called the Indian Institute of Management. The IIM Calcutta was the first of these institutes.
