Isfahan University of Technology History
The Isfahan University of Technology also known as IUT is a university located in Isfahan, Iran. The university was established in 1974 as the Aryamehr University of Technology in Isfahan and subsequently granted university status post-Islamic Revolution of Iran in 1979. The university has ever since grown to enroll over 10,000 students and is regarded as one of the most prestigious institutions in the country.

The campus is modeled after Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

The Isfahan University of Technology is one of the few universities to house a supercomputer on the university campus which is counted amongst the fastest 500 in the world. The machine is able to perform over 32 billion calculations and operations in a matter of 100 seconds.
The Isfahan University of Technology has a low acceptance rate owing to its reputation in the country. Admissions are competitive and often based on previous academic record and grades. The university also offers a few financial aids to help the students with tuition fee.
