Jagiellonian University History
Jagiellonian University is a public and a research university located in Krakow, Poland. The university is also known as the University of Krakow. It was established in the year 1364 by Casimir III Great, the Jagiellonian University is the oldest University in Poland.

Jagiellonian University offers for prospective students includes over 140 Undergraduate Programmes of study and about 170 Graduate Programmes. Among them, there are part-time and full-time courses in 84 fields of study and 159 specialties. The University also includes nearly 30 Ph.D. programmes. Besides, the Jagiellonian University faculties offer several dozen non-degree post-diploma courses. The university consists of fifteen schools, including the humanities, law, the natural and social sciences, and medicine. The university employs roughly 4,000 teachers and has over 40,000 students WHO study in some 80 disciplines.
