  The Jagiellonian University's main library campus is one of the largest in Poland, with nearly 6.5 million volumes; it is part of the Polish National Libraries system. It houses a world-famous collection of mediaeval manuscripts, including Copernicus' De Revolutionibus, the Balthasar Behem Codex, and the Berlinka. The Jagiellonian University library also houses a large collection of underground political literature from Poland's Communist era, which lasted from 1945 to 1989. Aside from the Jagiellonian Library, the university has a large medical library and numerous subject-specific libraries in its various faculties and institutes. The presence of the university's archives, which date back to the university's founding and record the entire history of the university, enriches the collections of the Jagiellonian University libraries.

  Various residential halls on the Jagiellonian University campus provide housing services. Krakow is a fantastic place to study, and housing is generally less expensive than in the US or Western Europe. Student housing is generally affordable. A month's rent for a flat, including utility fees (electricity, gas, water, etc.), will typically range from $150 (110 euro) to $500 (380 euro), while a room at a Jagiellonian University hall of residence will cost around 360 PLN (about $100). Please keep in mind that the tuition fee paid to Jagiellonian University does not include room and board. International students usually choose one of three Jagiellonian University residence halls in or near the centre: Zaczek, Piast, and Nawojka, with Aczek being the most popular.

    Scanmed Health Centre provides medical services to Jagiellonian University students, who can consult general practitioners and specialists. When scheduling an appointment with a doctor, you must present your PESEL identification number. Students should contact a district hospital emergency ward in the event of an emergency.
