Kurume University History                                        

Kurume University is a Japanese private higher education institution located in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture. The university was established as Kyushu Medical College in 1928 and was subsequently renamed in 1946. The university currently enrols approximately 5000 students.

Kurume University comprises of 2 campuses based in the city of Kurume in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. The Mii campus serves as the primary campus of the university which houses major faculties and university’s administrative offices. The Asahi Machi campus houses the Kurume University Hospital and Schools of Medicine.

Kurume University also runs Kurume University Beijing Educational Exchange Center in Beijing, China.
