Marista University of Merida History

Marista University of Merida was established in the year 1996. It is a private university which is situated in Yucatan in Mexico. It was started by Marist brothers. It started its services at Montejo University Centre and in 1997, it moved to its new campus. It began its education with the enrolment of 132 students in three departments.

Marista University of Merida Programs, Courses and Schools

Marista University of Merida is organised into six academic faculties each comprising of various departments. It offers 15 bachelor’s degrees, 13 master’s degrees and doctoral degree programs. Students can also go for language program, study abroad, continuing education and research.

It is the home to more than 300 trained and experienced faculties. It has more than 2000 students admitted. Virtual learning, senior programs and building bridge programs can also be opted. Students are also offered with on-field trainings, internships and job opportunities.

Marista University of Merida has come up with the very attractive and urban campus covering an area of 35 acres. It is surrounded with greenery. Campus facilities includes cafeteria, parking facilities, athletic courts, fields, pool, recreational area, theatre, cultural facility, wellness centre, gym, campus store, salon and auditorium. There are student clubs and associations. It is the home to cultural, artistic and sports activities.

University library is equipped with books, journals, research guides, periodicals, magazines, archives, catalogues and documents. Other facilities include databases, e-resources, research facility, projected study rooms, borrowing services, help desk, computer systems and internet services.
