Michoacan University of Saint Nicholas of Hidalgo was established in the year 1540. It is a public university which is situated in Michoacan in Mexico. It went through changes in its nomenclature from Colegio de San Nicolas Obispo to Primitivo y Nacional Colegio de San Nicolas de Hidalgo to its current status and name in 1917.
